Our garden

I've been wanting to put out a garden for a few years, and since we are now back in the midwest I thought I would give it a go. There was no way I was going to attempt one in San Antonio. My friend used to plant lettuce in February, and the heat was so crazy I know I would have killed it all! My parents came up this past weekend, and since my dad used to farm he was the perfect helper! Ben built me a planter box during the week which turned out to be just the right size. We planted tomatoes, squash, red and yellow peppers, basil, parsley, carrots, and cucumbers. Hopefully I can keep everything alive and have some nice veggies soon! Thanks Daddy for all your help!

Brenna is super excited.

WaterMELONS!!!

Well....a pictures worth a thousand words!!! I crack up every time I look at these pictures of Natalie. She has the most amazing personality. I had to share them along with some every day pictures of the girls enjoying some watermelon outside. Hope you have a good laugh too!

She's getting so much taller! Look at those legs.

New pool

I bought the girls a new pool for the summer. I tried to get something that both girls could enjoy which was a harder task than I thought! Brenna is just so tall! I found this pool which I thought was a good compromise. She is probably still too big for it, but she loved it and so did Natalie. If I go much larger it's just too hard to empty. I love the little palm trees and dolphin slide. Brenna said, "I wish the palm trees had coconuts on them!" Too funny.

Our neighbors little boy Craig.
A huge plane flew over! Natalie really liked that "apane"!
I love my girls!

Finally...water time

Well as usual Dayton is still trying to figure out it's weather pattern! It was so beautiful today with sunny skies and high in the mid 80's. Brenna suggested playing in the sprinkler after church so that's what we did. The girls had a lot of fun. Natalie really didn't care for the sprinkler, but preferred playing in her water table. She just loves being outside. Like I keep saying...can't wait for summer!

Cheese!
Running from the sprinkler!
Loving it!
As soon as the water was about to hit her she would run away.

My beautiful babies! Love seeing a chubby belly on Natalie. :-)
Snack time.

Pudding Paint

The girls and I were on our own tonight with Ben studying at school. I thought they would enjoy finger painting with pudding. Natalie has never tried it before, and she was cracking me up! As crazy as she is, I thought she would dive right in. Instead, she didn't really want to get her hands dirty and just wanted to eat it! I find this even funnier for a kid I could barely get to eat for months. Brenna loved it since she loves anything with arts and crafts. I'm still hoping to find my inner creativity and come up with some more fun ideas!

Mother's Day/Natalie's dedication

As most of you know I had oral surgery last Thursday for a last effort to save my crazy tooth! It was pretty invasive, and I have been really sore. Ben has been absolutely amazing helping take care of me and the girls. Thanks Ben. I love you! Aside from still being sore, Mother's day was a very fun and special day. First of all we were dedicating Natalie at church! I was so happy to have her and Brenna dedicated at the same church. Ben's dad, mom, sister, brother, and our sister-in-law all came for the occasion! They woke up at like 5 a.m. to make it in time for the 9:30 a.m. church service! They made it just in time for the ceremony. After church we had a nice lunch back at our house. We were all pretty tired from all of the activities, but we had a great time.

Trying to not have a crooked smile! You should have seen some of them!
My gift from Brenna. Ben's mom helped her make me a necklace and bracelet! So sweet.
A pic with my second new camera! Thanks Ben. I like this one a lot better.

My get well/Mothers day flowers.
Natalie was so good!

Goofing around with Aunt Allison.
