A cat and a fish

They have trick or treating a night early in Beavercreek so we went out tonight. The girls had a blast. The weather was perfect. Just cool enough for the girls to be comfortable in their costumes. Natalie was a fish and Brenna was originally going to be Jasmine. I told her it would be neat if she dressed up like a cat, because then she could pretend to eat Natalie. She thought it was such a great idea! I was happy she wasn't a princess again, and she kept telling everyone what they were going to be. Natalie did really well and even said trick or treat! Brenna was such a good big sister and either got candy for Natalie or made sure the people gave her some! We came back to the house and enjoyed our goodies by the fire!

Trying a sour atomic ball!

Boonshoft on a cold day

I decided to take the girls to Boonshoft today. They opened a new animal exhibit that I wanted to take them to. We usually have our home school co-op on Thursdays, but we don't meet the last week of the month. It was a cold dreary day so I thought it would be a fun outing. Both the girls had a great time. Natalie loved the animals. There were porcupines, otters, skunks, meerkats, owls, fish, ducks, a woodpecker, and many more I can't remember! It was a fun day and we are all looking forward to the plans for the weekend.

I love this picture! I swear the Bobcat kept posing.

I told them I was going to throw away the key!

She loved this thing.

Happy 31st Ben!

Well I have been majorly slacking on blogging lately, but life is busy! Ben turned 31 on Oct 19th. It's so weird to see it actually written down. I take a picture of the cake every year, and we have now added over a decade to the ages of when we first met! We had a very nice low key evening at home as a family. We had dinner, cake and ice cream, and presents! The girls love birthdays, and it was nice to really celebrate as a family of four this year. Natalie loves singing, and blowing out the candles and opening gifts this year. It's fun seeing the joy on both of the girls faces! With the holidays just around the corner I am sure my blogging will pick up!

Natalie's favorite part!
The awesome card Brenna made for Ben!

My loves!

Birthdays all around

Text is at the bottom! I was too lazy to retype it.

My dad let her blow out his candles. She loved it! It was nice for him to see her, because he didn't get to see her do it at her party in Florida.

Like the fake out?!

October is a big birthday month in our family. My dad's is the 15th, my
mom's is the 18th, Ben's is on the 19th, and Ben's mom is on the 31st. Ben's
Grandma and Granddad that have passed away also celebrated birthdays in October!
My parents came up this past Wednesday, so we were able to celebrate my dad's
69th birthday. We had a great time while they were here. I love having so much
help from them. The time just flies by, but I am just so happy we live close.
Here are some pictures of the celebration. Glad my dad didn't mind the homemade
cake with some crazy handwriting!
