Fun in the snow!

We awoke to a few inches of snow this morning! Just enough to play in at least. Brenna headed out immediately to play. Ben offered to take Natalie out for her first time ever to play in the snow. Both girls absolutely loved it. It was fun to watch them experience it together because Brenna was so young when we left Ohio last time that she doesn't even remember the snow! So sad, but nice to know she will have lots of memories after three years in Dayton!

Snow angel!
Natalie couldn't wait to go out with her sister!

Waiting for Daddy.

First time those little feet have touched snow!

I've been waiting to see snow on our tree line. So pretty!

Lunch with Santa

The girls and I headed to the Kettering Rec Center for lunch with Santa. When we arrived the Kettering Civic Band was playing Christmas songs which was really neat. Natalie was fascinated with them and actually sat in her stroller and stared at them for quite awhile. Lunch consisted of a hot dog, chips, juice box, apple sauce and a Little Debbie Christmas tree! How much more kid friendly can you get? To top if off, Mrs. Claus was walking around handing out chocolate chip cookies! After lunch there was a couple performing and entertaining the kids with more Christmas music they could dance to. Both the girls had a blast, and honestly I don't think I've ever seen Natalie that happy. She spun around, hopped up and down, and tried to do a lot of the movements. I originally wasn't going to take her, but Ben is deep in finals so he wasn't able to watch her. We got the last ticket for her at the door and I'm so glad she came. We said hello to Santa, which as you will see Natalie did not enjoy! He was the cutest Santa ever! Definitely close to the Santa at the North Star Mall in San Antonio we liked so well last year. We swam after the festivities which was fun too. Ice skating was included as well, but I didn't think I could manage that one with a 14 month old and a 5 year old that has never skated! Ben is going to take Brenna skating over his Christmas break for a date night. I think Daddy would be much better than me anyway!

Showing Natalie her tattoos. Natalie even got one!

The girls playing around

It has been freezing cold here the last few days so we have been staying pretty close to home. I got a lot of cute pictures of the girls that I wanted to share. Enjoy and try to stay warm! :-)

I am still trying to get a good picture of the two them by the tree!
Brenna took this one!

Clifton Mill

We had a very Christmas themed fun-filled weekend! On Saturday we headed to Clifton Mill which has millions of lights and takes eight men three months to set up! Both the girls really loved the lights and seeing Santa in his workshop. It was extremely cold so we only stayed about an hour and then headed home for some hot cocoa, puppy chow, and to finish decorating our Christmas tree.

O Christmas Tree

Hard to believe it's Christmas time again! It's our family tradition to get a real tree, so we headed to Lowe's on Friday night for the adventure! Ben's parents were able to come up and visit and it was nice to have them join us. It was really cold which we of course loved! The girls really had a good time looking at the different trees and we finally found the perfect one. We are just so glad to have family so close for occasions just like this one.

Beginning our search for the perfect tree.
It's Ben's job to pull several out and spin them around for us to vote on.
