Wegerzyn Garden

We went to another one of my favorite metro parks the other day with friends. They will be turning the water off September 7th. I thought it would be nice to have one more day to play before fall gets here! I know I am getting old because the time just flies by! I love the flexibility that comes with homeschooling. I am having to discipline myself though, because I want to be outside in these last few days of summer! Both the girls had a great time. Natalie has changed so much this summer, and I'm excited to see all the fun things she can do next year. It will be fun to go back to the garden when all the leaves change colors!

Butterfly house

We made a new friend from soccer and she invited us to the Butterfly house at Cox Arboretum along with her two children. We had a blast! I never went there when we lived here before. It was so pretty. The butterflies were just beautiful. All the kids really enjoyed it. The scenery is very pretty, and they have a lot of weddings and receptions. I would love to go back with a professional photographer before we leave Ohio. We were there for almost 2 hours, and then went to lunch with our new friends. What a great day!

Twinkle ears!

Brenna started asking me a few months ago to get her ears pierced. I thought if she continued to ask me then she must be serious. I thought it would be a good time to go while we were in Indiana so Mamaw could be with us, and we had a babysitter for Natalie. She was super nervous, but she did awesome! She teared up just a little after it was over. She loves them and it's just one more thing that makes her look older!

Just some cute pictures of my beautiful babies! I am so happy they have each other. Natalie is just fascinated with Brenna right now. She wants to be with her all the time. She calls Brenna sissy which I never wanted her to use, but now I just love to hear her say it!

Trip home

Well our trip home to Indiana started off very stressful. My dad got really sick and ended up in the hospital for 5 days. I was going to go down on a Sunday, but decided we should head home earlier so we left on Tuesday. He is doing a lot better, and hopefully will not be anywhere near a hospital for a long time! It was nice having some extra time to just hang out. We went swimming a lot, and I got to go see a movie and have dinner with friends! The girls and I went to stay at my in-laws on Saturday since they were headed to Florida for vacation. That was nice having the whole house to ourselves. We are so thankful to be just 2 1/2 hours away from home for just this kind of reason. Looking forward to lots more family time in the near future!
