Hubers Orchard and Winery

Friday morning we headed to Starlight Indiana to Hubers Orchard. It's a really neat place with lots of pick-your-own fruits, a farmers market, country cooking restaurant, ice cream shop, duck pond, and a winery. We hit the farmers market first and bought some fresh bread and apple butter. Then we went to feed the ducks. It was a beautiful day, and we all really enjoyed looking at the water and feeding the ducks, koi, cat fish and even a turtle stopped by! We decided to just have lunch at the cafe at the winery. It was really yummy. We ended our visit at the winery, and we decided to purchase some peach infusion wine. Strawberry wine was on sale so we had to get a bottle of that too! It was a great day. I couldn't help but be thankful for being back in the midwest. The scenery was just beautiful and we were surrounded by green everywhere!

Natalie kept saying "baa". I guess the size of the cow threw her off.

So pretty
They loved feeding everything.

Natalie was not afraid of the ducks at all. As you can see they were much bigger than her!

Brenna really liked when they came up to her!

Louisville Zoo

We had a great trip to Indiana. It was very hot, but we still were able to enjoy several activities and a full day of swimming. The days went very quickly, as usual, and I think I may take another trip with just the girls before Brenna starts school again. We went to the Zoo, Hubers Orchard and Winery, swimming, visited a friends new baby boy, attended a family reunion and even got to have a date night. It's always hard coming back to our house after being surrounded by family and friends. Life is just a little easier when you have help! We had a great time, and look forward to the next visit.

Mamaw and Brenna. Natalie wasn't too impressed!

A little more her size.

She loved the Merry-go-round.

Sprinklers at the Greene

We finally made it to the Greene to play in the sprinklers. We met a friend and her two little girls, who are very close in age to Brenna and Natalie. When we lived in Dayton before, they had just began to build the shopping center. We are looking forward to lots of good dinners, concerts, and shopping! The girls had a lot of fun. Natalie was really excited about the water, but never really was brave enough to get in! Hopefully she will get more used to the water, because we are planning to go swimming quite a bit this summer.

Running away quickly! :-)

Growing Garden

Well with all the rain and heat we've had my garden is thriving! I'm really enjoying watching it grow and can't wait to actually eat something!

First pepper!

Tooth Fairy part deux!

I was on my home today when Brenna gets on the phone to tell me she lost her second tooth! She pulled this one too! I have never seen a child so proud and so happy to go to bed! I find myself full of so many emotions as my oldest daughter loses her baby teeth and my youngest is still getting hers! So cute! It makes her look even older doesn't it!?!

1st visit from the Tooth Fairy!

Brenna lost her first tooth! It's so hard to believe how quickly 6 years have passed with her. Every milestone seems to keep coming faster and faster. The neatest part is that she actually pulled it herself! When she went to the dentist for her 6 year check up, the dentist said it was barely loose. Every since then, she has been wiggling her tooth trying to loosen it. She actually couldn't wait to go to bed last night so the Tooth Fairy would visit! She woke up this morning with a $1.00 under her pillow! Guess she'll be wishing for her two front teeth pretty soon!
