Basket #3!

Well this basket was very fun to make. It's a casserole basket, and I was happy all the ladies agreed for this to be our next one to make. It had different handles than our last two and quite a bit larger in size. I felt a little more confident, emphasis on little, this time around! I really look forward to this fun event every month! Next month is a tote basket!

Egg decorating

Brenna and I had some fun together decorating eggs for Easter. We had six different food color tablets with stickers and foil. I have to admit it wasn't the easiest decorating package I've ever used! Brenna had fun though and that's all that mattered! She is super excited about traveling to Indiana and for the Easter Bunny to come visit. I think Natalie is going to love hunting for eggs this year! A little too young this year for decorating them!

Flashlight egg hunt

I took Brenna to the Kettering Rec center for an Easter egg flashlight hunt. It was of course at night time, which makes it even more fun than a regular egg hunt. She enjoyed seeing the Easter bunny, eating cookies, and of course getting lots of candy. I love all the fun stuff the rec center offers, and I am really looking forward to taking the girls to the water park there this summer.

Bars open!

Ben finally finished his bar! His parents were able to come up for a few days while Ben was on spring break. It couldn't have been better timing. His dad was able to really help him finish it. He is so proud of it. I was pretty impressed that he built the entire thing himself, and it really turned out well. The man cave is complete...pool table, dart board, drums, bar and beer on tap! Enjoy it baby! You deserve it!

Boxing match

We have thoroughly enjoyed having Ben home all week. Sadly his spring break will be coming to an end this weekend, but we had a lot of fun. We went shopping, he finished a lot of my honey do list, went out to eat, went to the museum, and just enjoyed being home together as a family.

Here's one of the fun times we had! I have been looking for these blow up boxing gloves for a long time. I finally found them at Toys R Us and got them for Ben and Brenna for Christmas. They have a blast playing with them together. Natalie even got in on the action this time!

Introducing...

Bubbles, our new Betta fish! Brenna has been wanting a fish for awhile, so we headed out the other day to find the perfect one. We had fun spending time as a family picking out the fish, rocks, the castle, plant, food, water drops, and of course the bowl! Never knew a fish needed so much! :-) He is just my kind of pet! It's very relaxing watching him swim around. Natalie is really trying to say the word fish. Brenna informed me the other day that she named him Bubbles so Natalie could say his name! How sweet. Here are a few pics of our new addition!

Boonshoft

I met up with another of the PhD wives at Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. We thought it would be fun to get out of the house since both of our husbands were studying for finals. I haven't been to the museum since Brenna was about two. It was neat to see her experience it from a new perspective, and to now be watching Natalie experience it too! The girls both had a blast, and it was nice to go with my friend Joey. She has two older children so she let Brenna tag along with them. Natalie loved being able to roam, but I have to admit she wore me out. A few too many tantrums, so she and I both had nice long naps this afternoon. We bought a season pass, so I'm looking forward to going back several times this year.

This face cracks me up. I don't think she was too sure about this funny looking horse.
Inside a tunnel area. There were mirrors everywhere and she was just short enough to be able to stand up!

Dancing. There is a big screen that senses your body heat and displays your movements. Really fun!
This was neat because I have so many pictures of Brenna at two pushing these same carts around! She still loved the shopping area!
Natalie was fascinated with the fruits and veggies.
Getting ready to check out.
Cashier Brenna.
Natalie ready to pay for her stuff.
Brenna loved the courthouse.I really wanted to lock Natalie up after this tantrum. See the spot on her cheek!
She is sitting in the recycling truck. She loved this one because the horn actually honked when you pushed the button.
Fun on the slide!
Headed home!

Bubble fun

The girls and I played outside yesterday since it was pretty warm and finally reached the 60's. I bought a new bubble blower and wanted to try it out. I thought Natalie would just love it, but she seemed more interested in knowing how it worked than the bubbles! I told Ben I think she is going to be an engineer or something. I totally agree with my mother-in-law about Natalie "being my boy"! The only thing that definitely separates her from the boys is she doesn't really like to get her hands dirty! Ha Ha. Anyway, she really liked the chalk, and Brenna loved how many bubbles came out at one time. Our other bubble blower was Eeyore and it fit his personality...very slow! Ben brought home some sandwiches from Subway to enjoy and we had a nice evening at home.
