Disney on Ice

Brenna, my mom, and I went to Disney on Ice in Columbus to celebrate Brenna's 6th birthday. We told her at dinner last night and she was super excited. We were in the third row on the floor and had an awesome view. Brenna was mesmerized with all the characters, lights, and special effects. Her party is tomorrow and we are going to have a house full. The entire family will be here plus 6 of her friends. We had a great day, and I am so glad the family is close enough to share these memories with.

Basket #2!

We had our second basket weaving class today. It is such a blast! I feel such a sense of accomplishment after we are finished. I think I am going to use this one as the waste basket in my half bathroom downstairs. Can't wait until next class!

Best Valetines Day Ever!

Well we haven't done much for the last few Valentine Days, but we sure made up for it this weekend! I gave the girls their gifts a few days early so they could wear the shirts I got them. Brenna wanted a Valentine Build-a-Bear for her birthday so we went to the mall with our friends on Friday. Ben's parents so graciously came up again to watch the girls for us on Saturday night. We stayed at the Hilton in Beavercreek and got the Valentines package which included a red rose, truffles, champagne and brunch the next day! We were so glad we decided to stay close to home, because we were able to do so much fun stuff in a pretty short time. We started the day with breakfast at Bob Evans and then did a little shopping. Then we thought it would be fun to go bowling since we never really do that anymore. Next, we headed to the Fairfield Mall for more shopping and even played with the sweetest Italian Greyhound puppy ever! There may be one of those in our future as soon as Natalie is a little older. We went to check into the hotel and just relaxed and gave each other our gifts. Ben got me the prettiest diamond earrings! I was not expecting that one. He hasn't gotten me any jewerly in quite awhile so I guess he thought it was a good time. We had dinner at McCormick and Schmick's Seafood at the Greene. It was delicious and we were even seated by a blazing fire during our meal. We woke up this morning to an amazing champagne brunch with too much food to list! It was so nice having such a fun-filled weekend doing exactly what we wanted! Thanks mom and dad! This was a weekend I will never forget.

Ben with his "real" bowling experience with his $1.90 Miller High Life Lite...just a step above water!

Strike! Yes of course I beat Ben both games! :-)

Snow snow everywhere!

Well I realized if you can't beat um' join um'! I braved the snow this morning with the girls and had a great time! Brenna didn't have school and I've been waiting until it warmed up a little for Natalie. I figured 26 degrees was as good as it's gonna get! The snow bib Lauren sent fit Natalie very well! The straps were as tight as they could go, but she stayed nice and dry and warm! Thanks girl! I put on Ben's snow bibs since I don't have any, and I was sweating before I got out of the house. I got quite a work out carrying Natalie around in such deep snow! She absolutely loved it though. Her and Brenna were sampling lots of ice sickles! It's supposed to snow all day and into the night again. I think they said it will be a total of up to 10 inches for us! I can't imagine the snow they are getting out East!

So cute!
She was ready.

Hodge Podge

I have several pictures I want to share but not really enough to do a separate post for each. We had yet another snow storm and got about 6-7 inches and there is supposed to be a bunch more coming tonight. Can you feel my excitement!? (Ha Ha you should be able to feel the exaggeration through this computer!) Anyway, Brenna loves to play in it and I finally got her some better snow attire. We have a great snowsuit too for Natalie (thanks to Lauren!) if it would just be a little warmer for her. I woke up today and the temperature was 1!!! Allison and her new boyfriend Rhett came up for a visit this weekend. I was impressed they braved the snow for us. Rhett is an amazing guy. He was so easy going and very easy to talk to. Natalie even warmed up very quickly! He was great with the girls, and we are hoping for another visit with them very soon.
