Playing Catch-up!

I apologize for not posting for awhile. It seems like the days have been flying by. I can't believe we will be moving in less than 8 weeks! As much as I wanted to leave San Antonio, I have to admit it's still bittersweet every time we move. I'm looking forward to getting back to the midwest and being close to family. I can't wait for the next chapter in our life which includes Brenna starting kindergarten, Natalie blossoming into a toddler, and Ben beginning a doctoral program at AFIT! God has blessed me greatly with a wonderful husband and two beautiful children and the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people!

Here's a picture of Ben and Brenna on their first daughter/daddy date! Ben took Brenna to Johnny Carino's Italian restaurant and they shared apple pie and ice cream. So cute!

Here's a sneak peek at Brenna's ballet costume for the dance recital!

We enjoyed spending time with Lauren and Lily the other day. Here are the girls playing on the floor. Lily is on the move now so you have to move fast to get a shot of her! I'm wondering when Natalie will get going, but I know it will be soon and I'll be wondering what I was wishing for!

Natalie is 7 months old now! Time is really flying by. She is sitting really well and has become much more interested in playing with her toys now.

Brenna still absolutely adores Natalie and can always get her to smile. I love going to pick Brenna up from school because Natalie will turn her head and just stare at Brenna and smile at her like she's saying "sister where have you been I missed you!" Having another child was the best decision I've ever made. I love watching them together.

Easter Sunday!

James, Lauren, and Lily were generous enough to invite us over for Easter dinner this year. We had an egg hunt for the kids and enjoyed spending time with old and new friends. I was stuffed at the end of the evening from all the good food!

Natalie and Brenna on Easter morning.

The fam as we headed out for church. It's still weird to me to see these family pictures with two kids! We don't do very many pictures with all four of us.
Brenna hunting for eggs.
Natalie finding her first egg on her first Easter!

Brenna and me posing with our matching pearls. I love that she thinks it's neat to match! I know it won't be cool in the near future so I'm enjoying the time while I have it. She looks so grown up lately.

Visiting with the Easter Bunny!

We went to see the Easter Bunny today. I was a little nervous because you never know how Natalie will react, but she did just fine. Brenna still does not like seeing Santa Claus, but she had a great time with the Easter Bunny too.

I had to share this picture of Natalie in her bunny hat!

Here are the girls before we headed out the door.

Brenna's bangs are finally getting long enough to pull back and Natalie has started doing this weird thing with her mouth. It's not really her smile, but it at least looks like one.
I remembered to put Natalie's new bracelet on her from my really good friend Emily. You can see it a little bit in this picture. I couldn't get a good up close shot. It has her initials on it and fits perfectly! Thanks Auntie Em!
Here they are with Mr. Easter Bunny. He reminds me a little of the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland!

1st Soccer Game!

Today was Brenna's first soccer game at the YMCA. She had a blast! The girls did really well at redirecting the ball toward their goal, and they won their first game! Go Princesses!!!!

Brenna with all of her teammates. Aren't they so cute! She's wearing the soccer hairbow I made for her.
Here's Natalie and Daddy cheering for Brenna.

Brenna in her uniform. They have matching jerseys and socks. She is number 5 which she is very excited about! Practicing before the big game.
Ready for the first kickoff!
Giving a high five to the other team after our first win!

Just a swingin'

We bought Natalie her first swing. She seemed to really enjoy it. We have been going outside after dinner almost every night to enjoy this beautiful weather. I have to admit going back to Dayton winters will be quite an adjustment!

Wee!!!

Both of my girls enjoying the swing. Doesn't it look funny how much smaller Natalie is!

Brenna swinging Natalie. She is such a good big sister.

Saying hello!
